The Burial Services in Söderköping S:t Anna parish consists of 8 cemeteries located in both urban and rural areas within the parish's geographical area. Ongoing work is carried out at these cemeteries to preserve cultural values and perform maintenance and care.

The cemetery management is a modern and environmentally conscious operation where a large part of the machinery fleet is battery-powered. Our team consists of staff with expertise in green space maintenance, property management, workshop work, landscaping, and administration. Continuous development takes place in the management to best fulfill the mission and provide the best possible service to the public.

Description:

The management is now seeking a seasonal position for our work team.

• The work involves outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• You will work with regular gardening tasks such as hedge trimming, weeding, trimming, lawn mowing, and planting.
• After training, you will participate in grave digging and handling urns and coffins in connection with burials.
• The position includes being a good representative of the organization, which requires a professional and pleasant demeanor with cemetery visitors.
• The tasks are physically demanding, so it is a prerequisite that you have good physical fitness.

Work may be required at several of the parish's cemeteries. 

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00.

Personal qualities:

• Interest in gardening.
• Service-oriented, helpful, and has a positive attitude.
• Social competence in dealing with people in grief.
• A team player with insight that we work together towards set goals.
• Can work both individually and in a group.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in green space maintenance and/or handling gardening equipment.
• Requirement for a B driver's license with access to a personal vehicle.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is also a prerequisite as you will partly work from written instructions.

Meritorious:

• Gardening education or equivalent documented work experience and/or experience in cemetery work.
• Operator's license for construction machinery and/or BE license.

Employment period:

April 1 – August 31 (extension may be possible, but a maximum of two months)
